Nina explained that Julian’s family had fled the city because the threat was real. The memory was hidden so the enemies could not track him, and that is why he had been sent away and later lost the city from his mind.
Then Mara said that the stranger had been looking for the jar because the old danger had come back. Eli helped stop the stranger from taking it, and Julian kept both the memory and the proof of his past.
Julian accepted that the city was part of his true history. He thanked Mara, Eli, and Nina for protecting him, and he decided to leave with the truth instead of keeping to denial.
