Nova hunted alone in the forest. She followed animal tracks because she needed food for her settlement, and then she noticed metal marks in the ground near the prints.
Soon she found a hidden entrance under the roots of old trees. It led to a large underground facility, but she did not tell anyone yet because she wanted to inspect it first.
Inside a small outer room, Nova saw old screens, cables, and a light that was still on. She understood at once that the place still had power, which meant someone or something was keeping it running.
She also found a terminal with the name of the facility project. On the screen, she saw references to an AI system and a data archive, so she decided to come back later with tools instead of leaving immediately.
