Tala came back with new news. The dinosaur tracks were closer to camp than before, and they showed that a large predator had entered the valley. With that threat so near, the clan could not hunt safely anywhere close to the camp.
Bran said they should leave the valley at once. Eren answered that leaving without a real plan would get them killed. Tala then asked to scout the river path, because she thought it might lead to a safer place.
Eren agreed to let Tala and Sora scout for one day. They took only small tools, water, and a signal horn. The clan accepted the decision and waited for them to come back.
