Mina took the app down to the building laundry room, since it was the largest quiet indoor space she could use for testing. The cats gathered there and started speaking through the app one by one. Mina translated for the whole group while Mrs. Alvarez listened.
Leo complained that the humans fed cats at bad times and then acted annoyed when the cats begged. Miso said she wanted clean litter and access to the sunny window. Pixel said the hallway was too noisy and the doors shut too quickly for cats to get through safely.
The cats even argued with each other about who had the worst life in the building. Mina could hear that they had very different personalities, but they still agreed on the basic problems. In the end, the group decided that the humans had to hear the full list of complaints.
Mina realized that the cats were not asking for anything impossible. She promised to help them speak to the building manager, Taro. For now, the cats accepted her promise because she had shown that she could translate honestly.
